How The Green Industry Report Makes Money

Every way the site earns money, what is live and what is planned, and what payment never buys.

The Green Industry Report is free to read. These are the ways it earns money, what each one looks like on the page, and what payment never changes.

A sponsor can pay for a placement in a section of the site. Every placement carries a visible “Sponsored” label, and every link in it uses rel="sponsored", which tells search engines the link is paid. Sponsored content is kept visually separate from articles and never presented as reporting.

Software section

Our software coverage is not paid for. Vendors don’t pay to be included, reviewed, compared or ranked. If the section carries a sponsored slot, it sits apart from the coverage and is labelled “Sponsored”. We earn no affiliate commissions at launch. If we ever add affiliate links, the page will say so and the links will be labelled.

Job board

Employers can post landscaping jobs on the job board. Posts run for 30 days. An employer’s first post is free. We may introduce paid posting tiers later; if we do, prices and what each tier includes will be listed before anyone is charged, and this page will be updated.

The licensed landscaper directory is built from public state license records. In future, a business may be able to buy a labelled “Featured” placement. A Featured placement will never change the business’s license data, its status, or the editorial order of the regular listings. Businesses can’t pay to be added, removed or shown as licensed.

Lead and quote forms (not live)

We plan to offer forms where homeowners can request quotes from landscapers. They are not live. The site does not currently sell or share visitor contact details with anyone. Before any lead form launches, we will update this page and our privacy policy to explain who receives the information and on what terms.

What money never buys

  • Editorial coverage, favorable wording, or review of an article before publication
  • A position in a ranking, comparison or “best” list
  • Links inside articles, or any paid link without rel="sponsored"
  • Changes to license records, license status or directory order
  • Changes to cost estimates, wage data or any other figure

We don’t promise sponsors rankings, backlinks, traffic levels or citations in AI tools. Sponsorship formats are described on our advertise page. Questions about any of this go to editorial@greenindustryreport.com.
