Privacy Policy

What information the site collects, why, who sees it, and how to ask us to access or delete it.

This policy covers greenindustryreport.com, operated by The Green Industry Report (“we”, “us”). Questions and requests go to editorial@greenindustryreport.com.

The short version

  • We don’t set advertising or analytics cookies, and no analytics service is configured.
  • We collect what you choose to send us: emails, and the details employers submit when posting a job.
  • Our hosting provider keeps web server logs for security.
  • We don’t sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or currently share visitor contact details with anyone.

Information collected by greenindustryreport.com.

Job listings

When an employer posts a job, we collect the company name, a contact email and the job details. The job details are published on the job board for 30 days. Anything entered as part of the job details, including any application email or link given for applicants, is public. The employer contact email is used to manage the listing, not to send marketing.

Job seekers apply using the method the employer gives in the listing. What you send an employer is handled under that employer’s own practices.

Server logs

Our website host, Namecheap (EasyWP), keeps web server logs that include IP addresses and browser user agents. These logs are used for security, such as spotting abusive traffic, and for keeping the site running. How long the logs are kept is set by our host.

Cookies

At launch, the site doesn’t set advertising or analytics cookies, and no analytics service is configured. WordPress sets functional cookies only for logged-in staff. Readers who never log in don’t receive them. Our fonts are served from our own server rather than a third-party font service.

If we add analytics or any other tracking, we will update this policy to name the service, what it collects and how to opt out.

Lead and quote forms

The site has no lead or quote request forms today. We don’t currently sell or share visitor contact details with anyone. Before any lead form launches, we will update this policy and our how we make money page to explain who would receive the information and why.

Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers that run the site for us (our host and email provider), when the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse. We don’t sell personal information and don’t share it for targeted advertising.

Directory listings

The licensed landscaper directory is built from license records that state agencies publish. It shows business name, license details, city and ZIP, and no street addresses. If you have a question about a listing, email us with the subject line “Directory: [state] [license number]”.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We extend the same requests to every U.S. visitor, whatever their state.

  • Email your request to editorial@greenindustryreport.com with the subject line “Privacy request”. Tell us your state and what you’re asking for.
  • We may need to confirm your identity, usually by replying to the email address connected to the information.
  • An authorized agent can make a request for you; we may ask for proof of authorization.
  • If we decline a request, we’ll explain why. You can ask us to reconsider by replying with the subject line “Privacy appeal”.
  • We won’t treat you differently for making a request.

Because we don’t sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is currently nothing for a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal to switch off. If that changes, this policy will say how we honor those signals.

Children

The site is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to the publishing system is limited to staff accounts. No website can guarantee perfect security.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update this page and its Updated date. Questions go to editorial@greenindustryreport.com.
