Best Landscaping Software 2026: Picks by Job, With Published Prices

A vendor-neutral guide to landscaping software by job, from crew scheduling and estimating to 3D design, irrigation and payroll, with every price taken from the vendor's own page and dated.

How to bid landscaping jobs

Short answer: There is no single best landscaping software; pick by the job. Solo operators and small crews pay least with Jobber (from $29/mo billed annually) or GorillaDesk ($49/mo per route). Crews that estimate from budgets lean to LMN ($297/mo) or SingleOps ($200/mo annual). Aspire quotes enterprise firms privately. Design and payroll are separate purchases.

Most “best landscaping software” lists are written by a vendor that ranks itself first, or they mix homeowner garden-design apps with business platforms in one list. This page splits the market by the job the software does, then compares each group using only what the vendors publish on their own pricing pages. Where a vendor doesn’t publish a price, the table says so.

Six jobs, six kinds of software

“Landscaping software” covers at least six different products. A three-person mowing outfit and a 60-person design-build firm need different ones, and very few companies need all six at once.

Landscaping business software: published prices, October 2026

The table lists each platform’s lowest and highest published plan as the vendor showed it on Oct. 7, 2026. “Annual” means the per-month rate when billed yearly. Read the “what scales the bill” column before comparing headline prices: a $29 plan priced per user and a $297 plan that includes six licenses are not the same purchase.

Three ownership facts are worth knowing before you shortlist. LMN and SingleOps are now sold under one parent, Granum: both pricing pages live on granum.com, alongside the Greenius training product. ServiceTitan’s landscape software page presents Aspire as its landscaping product, and Aspire’s site groups Aspire, Crew Control and PropertyIntel as “software solutions in the ServiceTitan family.” RealGreen is branded “RealGreen by WorkWave.” If you are leaving one product because of the company behind it, check that the replacement isn’t a sibling.

Best fit for solo operators and one crew

For an owner-operator, the cheapest published entry points are Jobber Core ($348 a year billed annually), Crew Control ($39 a crew a month), GorillaDesk Basic ($539 a year for one route), Service Autopilot Startup ($49 a month plus an unpublished sign-up fee) and Housecall Pro Basic ($708 a year). All five handle scheduling and invoicing on the entry plan, according to their pricing pages.

Our pick for a solo mowing or maintenance business is a per-route or per-crew plan, not a per-user one. GorillaDesk includes unlimited admin users and mobile devices on every route, and Crew Control charges by crew, so adding a part-time helper doesn’t change the bill. The trade-off: GorillaDesk’s Basic routing stops at 25 stops, and its route-optimizing “drive matrix” starts on the $99 Pro plan. Jobber’s Core plan is cheapest on paper, but its pricing page lists automated reminders, automatic payment collection and QuickBooks Online sync only from the $99 Connect plan up.

Best fit for 2 to 5 crews on maintenance contracts

This is where pricing models matter most. SingleOps charges for office and sales seats but makes crew users free, so a company with 4 crews and 1 office manager pays one Premier subscription ($500 a month annual, the tier SingleOps pitches at 3+ crews) rather than a seat for every crew member. Plus ($350 a month annual) is pitched at 1+ crews. Arborgold includes route optimization, crew time tracking and unlimited land measurements on its $129 Starter plan, but its user licenses are priced on request and it requires an annual contract. Service Autopilot’s Pro plan ($199 a month) adds route optimization, multi-day jobs and job costing with 2 mobile licenses.

Best fit for design-build and installation firms

Install work lives or dies on estimating accuracy and job costing. LMN was built around budget-based estimating: its Starter plan includes overhead recovery (limited to 1 active budget), customizable price lists and material and labor calculators, and its compare table puts real-time job costing on Professional ($648 a month) and up. SingleOps puts real-time job costing, options-based proposals and mobile timesheets in its Plus tier ($350 a month annual). Arborgold adds job costing and material inventory on Professional ($299 a month). Our view: if you bid installs and don’t yet know your true overhead per labor hour, the budgeting workflow is worth more than any scheduling feature. Our side-by-side of the two most-searched names is in Jobber vs LMN.

Best fit for commercial and multi-branch companies

Aspire, LMN Enterprise (which “starts at 100 users”), RealGreen Enterprise and ServiceTitan all sell to larger operators by quote. Aspire’s own FAQ says every client gets unlimited user licenses, implementation and training under one monthly fee, with payments, payroll services and GPS fleet management quoted on top. RealGreen leans toward lawn treatment programs: its feature list includes online measuring, dynamic routing, customer portals and direct mail. Without published prices, the only fair comparison is a written quote from each, on the same crew count and the same scope.

What a year of software costs against typical landscaping revenue

Software prices mean more next to revenue. Census counted 537,970 one-person (nonemployer) landscaping businesses in 2024, averaging $37,227 in receipts each, and 65.5 percent of them took in less than $25,000 (Census Nonemployer Statistics, 2024). The average landscaping employer establishment took in $988,173 in 2022 (2022 Economic Census, table EC2256BASIC).

The spread is the point. For a typical solo operator, the cheapest platforms cost about 1 to 2 percent of a year’s receipts; a budget-based platform like LMN costs closer to 10 percent. For an average employer firm, every plan in the table is under 0.4 percent of revenue, which means the decision should turn on fit and time saved, not on the subscription price.

How we built the cost-to-revenue table

Annual cost is the published monthly rate times 12, using the annual-billing rate where the vendor shows one (Jobber $29, Housecall Pro $59, SingleOps $200) and GorillaDesk’s published yearly price ($539). Service Autopilot’s $49 is labeled an annual-subscription rate. LMN’s $297 is labeled “billed monthly.” Crew Control’s $39 is used as listed, although its page says annual plans save 30 percent. Unpublished sign-up, onboarding and license fees are excluded, so true first-year cost is higher for those rows. Solo revenue is Census’s 2024 nonemployer receipts ($20,026,913,000) divided by 537,970 businesses; employer revenue is 2022 receipts ($115,405,806,000) divided by 116,787 establishments. The two Census figures are from different years and cover different businesses, so read them as scale, not as a matched pair.

What is the best software for landscaping estimating?

For installation and enhancement work, the strongest estimating tools are the ones that tie each bid to your overhead and labor rates: LMN, Aspire, SingleOps and Arborgold. For recurring maintenance, the bottleneck is usually measuring the property, and several vendors now sell aerial or map-based measurement.

  • Budget-based estimating: LMN Starter includes “overhead recovery” (1 active budget on Starter), customizable price lists, material and labor calculators and automated proposals (LMN pricing). DynaScape sells a Manage360 Sales and Estimating package at $2,497 a year plus a $629 onboarding fee, and notes the annual discount applies to the first year only (DynaScape pricing).
  • Map and aerial measuring: Arborgold lists unlimited land measurements on its Starter plan; SingleOps adds job site measurements and mapping on Plus; GorillaDesk adds map estimation tools on Growth; RealGreen lists online measuring on every package. Go iLawn’s domain now redirects to Aspire’s PropertyIntel, which says it moves Go iLawn projects across for former users.
  • Options and upsells: Jobber Grow lists optional line items in quotes; SingleOps Plus lists options-based proposals; Crew Control PLUS adds on-site estimates and electronic proposals.

Software only multiplies the numbers you feed it. If your labor burden, equipment cost per hour and overhead recovery aren’t set, a faster estimating tool produces wrong bids faster. Our guide to bidding landscaping jobs walks through building those rates from BLS wage data before you load them into any platform.

Landscaping CRM, scheduling and route optimization

Every platform above includes a client list and a schedule. Route optimization is where tiers differ, and it is the feature most worth paying for once you run more than one route a day. This table shows the cheapest plan on which each vendor’s pricing page lists it.

For CRM depth, look at what happens to a lead before it becomes a job. Jobber sells a separate Pipeline add-on ($49 a month) for requests and quotes; LMN Starter includes a “landscaper-designed CRM,” SMS messaging and a customer portal; Service Autopilot lists customer and lead management on its $49 Startup plan. Snow work changes the picture too: Service Autopilot lists snow dispatch, and Aspire markets snow and ice plans built from aerial imagery.

What is the best app for landscape plan design?

Design software splits three ways: photo-imaging tools that put plants and hardscape onto a picture of the client’s house, 3D builders that model patios, decks and grade, and CAD tools that produce scaled construction drawings and plant schedules. Contractors selling residential installs get the most from the first two; designers and landscape architects producing permit or bid sets need the third.

Our pick for a design-build contractor who mainly needs to sell residential jobs is a photo-imaging tool with built-in proposals (PRO Landscape+, or DynaScape Creator if you work on a Mac). For hardscape-heavy firms that sell on 3D walk-throughs, VizTerra is the specialist, at roughly $1,000 a year on annual billing ($84 a month). For drawings that go to permit, a CAD stack (Land F/X on AutoCAD or F/X CAD, DynaScape Design, or Vectorworks) is the standard. What you give up with the CAD route is speed: these tools are built for accuracy, not for a 20-minute kitchen-table sale.

Homeowners planning their own yard rarely need a professional subscription. Realtime Landscaping Plus is a $149 one-time purchase, SketchUp Go costs $10.75 a month billed annually, and iScape has a free tier. Once the plan is drawn, our landscaping cost guide helps price the work.

Irrigation design software

Residential irrigation and sprinkler system construction was a $2.77 billion product line for landscaping firms in 2022, 2.4 percent of industry revenue (2022 Economic Census, product lines, NAPCS 3000525003). The dedicated design tool with a published price is Land F/X’s Irrigation F/X, at $995 a year. It places manufacturer equipment, draws pipe and calculates pressure and flow, and it includes the Planting F/X tools.

The catch: Irrigation F/X is a plugin. It needs a CAD platform from 2022 to 2027 and runs on Windows (or a Mac under Parallels); it is not compatible with AutoCAD for Mac. A designer without AutoCAD would add F/X CAD at $775 a year, for a combined $1,770 a year in Land F/X subscriptions. IrriCAD’s site blocked our automated check, so it isn’t priced here. Field-service platforms don’t design systems, but several track irrigation service work: Service Autopilot lists asset tracking and Arborgold lists equipment maintenance tracking.

Payroll and crew time tracking

Payroll is the largest controllable cost in the trade: 32.3 percent of landscaping revenue in 2022, or about $319,000 a year for the average employer establishment (2022 Economic Census, EC2256BASIC; our division). At that size, every 1 percent of paid time that wasn’t worked costs roughly $3,190 a year, which is more than most of the subscriptions on this page. That arithmetic is why GPS-verified punch-ins show up on nearly every platform’s feature list.

Check what you already own before buying a separate tool. Jobber lists time and expense tracking from its Connect plan and automatic time tracking on Grow. LMN Starter includes punch-ins with GPS location verification. SingleOps lists mobile timesheets and labor tracking from its Plus plan, and Arborgold includes crew time tracking on Starter. Housecall Pro and Aspire both sell payroll as an add-on, priced separately. For a 10-person crew on Gusto Simple, the arithmetic is $49 plus 10 times $6, or $109 a month ($1,308 a year). Wage benchmarks for budgeting that payroll are in our landscaper salary data.

This page is general information, not tax, payroll or legal advice. Payroll tax and wage-and-hour rules vary by state; confirm with your accountant or state labor agency before you change how you pay crews.

How we chose and compared these tools

Who made the list. Business platforms were included if they market a landscaping, lawn care or tree care product to U.S. companies and appear repeatedly in the questions landscapers ask about software. Design, irrigation and payroll tools were included if they are widely used by landscape contractors or designers and sell directly to them. We reviewed 12 business platforms, products from 8 design and irrigation vendors, and 5 payroll or time tools.

What we used. Only each vendor’s own pricing, plan and product pages, loaded on Oct. 7, 2026. Prices, included users, contract terms and features are quoted as the vendor states them. Where a vendor doesn’t publish a price, we say “pricing not published” rather than repeat figures from review sites or forums. We did not use review-site star ratings, which are self-selected and often vendor-solicited.

What we did not do. We did not run these products on live jobs, and nothing here describes hands-on use. “Best fit” calls are reasoned from published pricing structure (per user, per route, per crew, included licenses, contract terms) and the feature lists on each plan, matched to company size data from Census.

Money. Editorial picks are not paid. No vendor reviewed this page before publication, and there are no affiliate links. Any future sponsored placement on this page will be labeled “Sponsored” and kept separate from the picks. See how we make money.

What landscapers ask before they buy

What is the best software for landscaping?

It depends on company size and work mix. Solo and one-crew maintenance businesses get the lowest published prices from Jobber (from $29 a month billed annually), Crew Control ($39 per crew) or GorillaDesk ($49 per route). Install-heavy firms that estimate from budgets lean to LMN or SingleOps. Large commercial firms get quotes from Aspire.

What is the best software for landscaping estimating?

For installation bids, LMN’s budget-based estimating (overhead recovery, price lists, material and labor calculators, from $297 a month) and SingleOps, Arborgold and Aspire are built for it. For maintenance bids, map-based measuring matters more: Arborgold, SingleOps Plus, GorillaDesk Growth, RealGreen and Aspire PropertyIntel all list it.

Is iScape really free?

Partly. iScape’s free version is a download with limited features and reduced plant and hardscape libraries. Full access, the proposal tool and image uploads require Pro at $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year per user license. Its 2D and 3D design tools run on iOS only.

What is the best app for landscape plan design?

For contractors selling residential jobs, PRO Landscape+ ($900 a year) pairs Windows design software with a tablet companion app, and DynaScape Creator ($119 a month) runs in a browser on Mac or PC. For homeowners, iScape (free tier, iOS) and SketchUp Go ($10.75 a month billed annually, iPad and web) are the low-cost options.

Is there free landscaping business software?

Not among the full field-service platforms with published prices; the cheapest is Jobber Core at $29 a month billed annually, and most offer a free trial instead. Free tiers exist for parts of the job: Connecteam is free for up to 10 users and busybusy has a free time-tracking tier. Yardbook is often described as free, but its pricing page blocked our check, so we couldn’t confirm current terms.

Jobber is getting expensive. What are the alternatives for a small landscaping business?

If seat count is what’s driving the cost, look at pricing that doesn’t charge per user: GorillaDesk (per route, unlimited users), Crew Control (per crew) or SingleOps (crew users free, from $200 a month annual). If you need Jobber’s features on one login, compare its Connect plan ($99 a month annual) with Housecall Pro Essentials ($149 a month annual, 5 users). The full head-to-head is in Jobber vs LMN.

More guides for running the business side are collected in our landscaping business section, and state-by-state market size data is in the landscaping industry by state.
